Childbirth Basics Series

This evidence-based childbirth class is our most comprehensive childbirth education course. During the four-part series, expectant parents will learn about:

The four-stages of labor
The role of the support person
Positions and techniques to increase comfort during labor
Common hospital procedures
The immediate postpartum period
Cesarean birth

After taking this course, parents will feel prepared & empowered to advocate for their desired birth. We recommended that new parents also take the Baby Care Boot Camp, Introduction to Breastfeeding and the Afterglow-a Pre-Postpartum Workshop.

**A tour will be offered of The Birthplace at Summerlin during the Series, usually after the final class**

Cost: $50/couple
