Emergency Care in Summerlin
ER at South Summerlin, an extension of Summerlin Hospital, is a freestanding emergency department that is open for 24-hour emergency care every day of the year. It is staffed with the same types of medical personnel, including emergency medicine physicians, nurses and techs, and equipped with the same diagnostic technology that is available at Summerlin Hospital’s main emergency department.
Emergency services
ER at South Summerlin provides 24/7 emergency care to infants, children and adults. Treatment is available for a wide range of emergency medical conditions, including:
- Chest pain
- Broken bones
- Minor lacerations
- Flu and other ailments
Diagnostic capabilities include an on-site laboratory, CT scanner and imaging equipment, along with multiple treatment rooms, exam rooms, a decontamination room with shower and entrances for both walk-in patients and ambulance arrivals.
A Lung Cancer Screening Could Save Your Life
Lung cancer is by far the leading cause of cancer death among both men and women. Each year, more people die of lung cancer than of colon, breast and prostate cancers combined, according to the American Cancer Society® (ACS). One reason for the low survival rate is that lung cancer is often recognized in its later stages, when it is most difficult to treat and the course of action for patients is limited.
People who are at high risk for lung cancer can significantly improve their chances of surviving the disease if it is detected in its earliest stages. By making an appointment to have a lung screening at ER at South Summerlin, the survival rate may improve through earlier detection, accurate diagnosis, accurate localization and curative therapy.
Screenings for Cash-Pay Available!
Low-dose CT lung screening exams are for those over 55 at risk for lung cancer. If lung cancer is found at an earlier stage, you have a better chance of living longer. Low-dose CT scans save more lives compared to traditional X-rays.
