Phones

Summerlin Hospital Medical Center offers phone services in each room for the convenience of patients and their visitors. Local calls may be made at any time from the room by dialing 9, waiting for the dial tone and then dialing the phone number.

To place a long distance call, you may bill the charges to a calling card, third party or call collect. To do this, dial 0 for the hospital operator, to be connected to the hospital's long distance carrier. You will need to provide billing information at the time you place your call.

Patient Meals

Wholesome, nourishing and well-balanced meals are an important part of your treatment and recovery. Your meals are nutritionally tailored specifically to your healthcare needs, as prescribed by your physician. Each morning, you will receive a menu from which you can select your meals for the following day. Once completed, please leave your menu on the table by your bed. If you have any questions or additional requests, please contact your nurse.

Patients are served breakfast from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m., lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and dinner from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. These times may vary depending on your nursing unit and whether you are scheduled for a special test or treatment that would delay your meal.

If a family member or friend wants to eat in your room with you, he or she may go to the cafeteria, buy a meal there and take it back to your room.
