Mail, Flowers and Other Services
The following services are offered at Summerlin Hospital:
Hospital volunteers will deliver mail to your room daily. Mail received after you have been discharged from the hospital will be forwarded to your address of record.
Flowers
Flowers are delivered to your room as they are received. Flowers are not allowed in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Comfort Cart
A comfort cart is brought to patient rooms by hospital volunteers, who have books and magazines available for your use.
TDD/Hearing Impaired
A TDD special needs device is available for the hearing and/or speech impaired. Please inquire with your nurse to obtain this service.
Interpreters
Summerlin Hospital Medical Center has access to interpreters for several foreign languages should a patient require it. Sign language interpreters are also available upon request, although advanced scheduling may be required. Please inquire with your nurse for these services.
Social Services
At Summerlin Hospital, social workers are available to help you and your family cope with the problems and stress that often accompany illness or hospitalization. Professional social workers provide support and guidance in dealing with an illness or treatment and can help you make decisions about discharge plans. They are experienced in working with community agencies that can provide you with the services, including extended care facilities, you may need following discharge.
